Tech Wish List

It must be the back to school craziness but I find only tech items on top of my shopping wish list these days.

1. MacBook Pro 15'
Something I've been lusting after for a long long time. My tiny Samsung laptop is just about to die, so I think I know what I'll ask from Santa this year :D

2. New Lenses
My basic Nikon lens served me just fine until now, but I think it's time to upgrade! (any recommendations?)

3. IPhone4
Probably from all the tech items I own I hate my phone the most. I've always been jealous of AC's iPhone and all the apps on it, so I think it's time to just go for it! :)

What's on your tech wish list girls?

While I loooooooooooove ice cream, I don't have what you'd consider a sweet tooth. That was until I found Sugar Shop in Budapest.... They sell the most stylish sweets ever! Stiletto mignons, monkey cupcakes and marzipan confetti covered birthday cakes, I'm smitten! Definitely a new addition to my Budapest Guide

I'm thinking I'll treat myself to something yummy today! ;)

Have a sweet Monday babes!

Gypsy*Friday - Mandina Eco Lodge

As a follow up to last week's Gambia post I wanted to dedicate this week's Gypsy*Friday to the most amazing hotel/lodge I ever spent a night in. It was basically by accident that we found this stunning stunning stunning place in the middle of the African bush, guarded by orangutans and crocodiles! :) As it was off season we were the only guests (as we decided to stay for the night the moment we saw the place) and enjoyed some great food, great wildlife, peace, sunset over the river and listened to the amazing travel stories of the owner Terence, who is seriously the biggest travel I have ever met! Don't miss this place should you ever visit the Gambia! It's also the best honeymoon spot ever :)

I'd love to hear which was the most amazing hotel you've ever stayed in!!! :)

Happy weekend chicas!

Suitcase Furniture

I fell in love with these repurposed suitcase furnitures the minute I laid eyes on them! Recreate,  a South African interior design firm creates a unique, recycled range of furniture, lighting and interior accessories from discarded junk. I'm totally smitten with the map+suitcase pieces. They would be simply perfect in my future living room! :)

Gypsy*Favorites - NYFW S/S 2011

While the web is already buzzing with London fashion week photos, I thought I'd share with you my favorites from New York fashion week. I went through all the shows (which turned out to be a much longer process than I expected!!!) and selected the ones closest to my heart. :)

I loved
- Anna Sui  for her clearly gypsy, free spirited line
- Jenny Packham for her beautiful embellished clothes (TDF alarm!!!)
- LAMB because it reminded me of African travels and city visits at the same time
- Marchesa... oh Marchesa... I DIE!!!
- Michael Kors for using my favorite colors in simple and clean outfits (major style crush!)
- Naem Khan for his jetset collection
- and Vivienne Tam for pretty embroidery mixed with ethnic prints

Which was your favorite show in New York?
