In the Studio

I took these pictures for  friend a few weeks ago. It was pretty much the first time that I've ever worked in a studio and used serious flashes which turned out to be harder than I've imagined. It is a totally different from working outside or on a location as there is nothing to set the mood or provide a pretty setting... just the white / black background, the model and you. It definitely took some getting used to as I really had to focus on instructing the model but in the end she was happy with the results. Oh and I have developed a major love with the wind maschine aka the simple fan we have in the school's studio. It just really gives that little extra to the pics... so a little tip from moi... the next time you photograph yourself (or someone else)... grab the hairdryer! :D
