Egyptian Treasures

{Ankh silver medal, Ankh = the mirror of life/the cross of life, one of the most well known hieroglyphs}

I almost forgot to post about my new treasures found in Egypt. In the last few years I have developed a habit of buying jewelry wherever I'm traveling... (remember this?) I think they are the perfect souvenir and I'm extra excited for my trips knowing that I'll come back a few sterling heavier.... :) you know some like fridge magnets, some like silver :D In addition to two new pieces I have also indulged in this amazing leather jewelry box this time.
Do you collect souvenir pieces from you travels? I'd love to hear what they are! ;)

  2. That box is gorgeous; I love it! I really like getting "souvenirs" that are actually something I will use as opposed to things like magnets, etc.

  13. Ooo, I love this post!! Yes, I always come home with earrings and bangles. I left Morocco with two unique looking wooden boxes (which I now use to store my jewelry in) bracelets, bangles and earrings and a tea pot for the stove. I love my travels and I love reading about yours. xoxo

  14. Love your pics! Though I haven't been to many countries, I love traveling too!

    I think my best treasure from another country is a few paintings I purchased in Nicaragua...they were made by this wonderful painter and are incredibly unique.
