Homemade FroYo

Believe it or not, frozen yoghurt is definitely not as popular in Europe as it is in the States and it is actually really hard to find. One of my favorite Christmas presents was this ice cream maker which was waiting patiently in the freezer for about 4 months now. As I've mentioned before, we are huge ice cream junkies, however I'm not a huge fan of all the heavy cream and sugar that goes into regular ice creams. The solution? Homemade froyo with fresh berries, fat free yoghurt, sweetener and just a pinch of lemon aroma. It was not only delicious and supereasy to make but it is also highly addictive. I love to try guilt free recipes and I'll definitely be experimenting with new ice cream and froyo recipes this summer.

P.S: While I used an ice cream maschine I think it is not necessary. You can just mix your yoghurt with the fruits and sweetener and leave it in the freezer overnight. The result will be the same! ;)

  1. YUM! We have no froyo spots where I live so I may have to resort to homemade froyo :)

  9. As much as I love my pinkberry trips, spending $7 on fro-yo is a bit absurd. This is such a great idea. Now all I need to do is get my hands on an ice cream maker. :)

  15. Yumm, that looks delicious! I'm totally in love with frozen yoghurt but I can not get it anywhere in my country. I think I'll have to persuade my parents to buy an ice-cream maker. ;)

  26. Really? It's a shame that people in your hemisphere don't get to enjoy froyo as much as they should've. I think you should make it your mission to share them the blessing. XD For guilt free recipes, I think you should try the gluten-free ones.
