Istanbul by Boat

Dress - Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent, Blazer - Zara, Wedges - ASOS, Sunnies - Ray Ban

One of the best part of our trip to Istanbul was that we got to live like the locals. We stayed at my friend, Zeynep's house on the residential Asian side and we traveled mainly by boat around the city (pimp isn't it? :).  Istanbul is a gigantic metropole with 15 million people spreading over two continents, divided by the Bosphorus. The traffic is insane and as the distances are huge, most people prefer to travel by the very cheap and fast ferry system. We really enjoyed watching the sun set over the majestic mosques, watching the seagulls catching fish and snapping away while the wind was playing with my hair. I love boats!

I was in Istanbul a few years ago and loved cruising around on the ferries. The best part was that instead of taking a plane to go south, we took a ferry ride down the sea of marmara -- it was so beautiful! Your photos make me so nostalgic for that time -- they're stunning.
