Herb Ritts

Leather Jacket, Leggings and Ballerinas - Zara, T-shirt - H&M

Now that my mum is visiting, we've been checking out several galleries, exhibitions and museums in Berlin. I have to make a mental note to do this more often, I live in a city buzzing with art and culture and I need to make an effort to suck it all in while I can. My favorite this week has been the Herb Ritts exhibition!

Just like there were supermodels in the 90's, there were superphotographers such as Herb Ritts. Before I even knew who he was I loved his simple, sensual and very powerful images. His iconic pictures of the biggest celebrities of his time such as Madonna or Cindy Crawford has influenced a whole new generation of photograhers and videographers alike. His video for Chris Isaac's Wicked Games, remains one of my favorite videos of all times.

P.S: On a less cultural note I'm so happy that I've finally found the perfect motorcycle leather jacket! I've been looking for it for years! It's from the fall collection of Zara. ;)

Love your look, simple and chic at the same time. And your braiding skills are seriously impressive, maybe you could make a few tutorials on that? ;)

Love the shots with you and Nicholson's Joker. Great timing; I just did a Batman-themed post, too, and was totally thrilled to see this on my reading list.
