Apartment Hunting

I can't believe that in less than two weeks I'll be hunting for my dream apartment in Barcelona! I've already started my research and I moreless know what I want. I've chosen my favorite districts and I keep my eyes open for a nice, big, light room for rent. I'll for sure move together with other people to get into the swing of things, make new friends and make sure that I never get bored. Finding cool flatmates is on the very top of my priority list right now! ;) It's gonna be such a different life! I haven't lived together with someone (apart from my ex boyfriend) since I was in college. Getting very EXCITED! ;)

Hi Gabby! I found your blog on Bikinis and Passports. I lived in Barcelona for 2 years and lived in three different neighbourhoods: Sagrada Família, Gràcia and Poble Sec. Gràcia was my favourite but Poble Sec is cheaper and has a great location near the old parts of the city, the port, the beaches and Montjuïc. I really recommend it. There are some nice bars on Carrer de Blai as well. I took about a week to find an apartment in the beginning and used the site loquo.com. Very useful not just for finding an apartment, but for classifieds in general. I actually found a job on there too. And the 'intercambio de lenguas' section was great for meeting people, because I didn't know anyone when I arrived! Also get a Bicing card because it's just the best system ever! Look forward to hearing all about it and seeing photos. I miss Barcelona so much!! If you want any more tips, please email me, I'd love to help.

P.S. Love your new hair. Going to cut mine longer at the front too.
