I'm continuing Gypsy*Friday, my Friday travel series about the amazing places I was fortunate to visit for shorter or longer times...
I think I owe you a story about Sean. I met him during my babysitting days in Sevilla and we quickly became friends. We met up for a few parties here and there, kept in touch randomly but I was really surprised when one day, years later my phone was ringing. Sean had a question for me: "If you were me and you could go anywhere in the world and you could take anyone you wanted what would you do?" I jokingly said I would take myself... the response shocked me... "That's what I thought too".... Long story short we ended up on a 4 week, all expenses paid, Thailand rountrip. One of the best vacations of my life (so far). Our trip was full of amazing beaches, cultural experiences, jungle trips and party nights. We discovered the country from North to South, touching Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui.
Just for the record, nothing ever happened between us and he remains a great buddy to me! :)
My advice: You just cannot go to Thailand and stay on the beach! You need to get dirty and climb trees in the jungle, play with elephants and admire the royal palace in Bangkok... and girls... you don't want to miss the Bangkok market, trust me!
