Gypsy*Friday - Istanbul*Turkey

Last year we decided to do something crazy with AC for our anniversary. We went to Istanbul for a day! YES! For one day! We lived in Berlin at that time and it was very well connected to Turkey. Our plane landed at 7 am in Istanbul and left at 11pm back to Berlin, so we had an entire day to soak up this amazingly beautiful city and return home hungry for more! Those 16 hours included some of my best travel experiences... we visited the most amazing market I've ever seen (Grand Bazaar), we have seen the most magnificent buildings and sipped the most delicious apple teas, not to mention the dinner we had in the coolest and most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to. If you ever visit Istanbul make sure to visit 360 but book in advance!

Magnificent culture, beautiful setting, the best shopping, yummy food... what else do you need in a mini break? :)

Nice! So did you get one of those good luck 'eyes' that they sell everywhere in Turkey? And drink apple tea?

I wasn't sure about Istanbul the first time I visited but I definitely enjoyed it the second time around.
Might have had something to do with the weather being a little cooler!

Love that you just visited for the day!
