On a date with Peter Lindbergh

{Blazer, Skirt, Bag - Zara, Tights - H&M, Top - Mango, Hat - Primark, Jewelry - From Travels}

While I'm spending a few days in Berlin I decided to take advantage of the amazing chinese food fabulous art and design the city has to offer. One of my favorite photographers, a true German genius, Peter Lindbergh is showcasing his work and I had to see it for myself. Lindbergh is famous for his coolly remote fashion photograph of Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Madonna and basically almost all female celebrities on Earth. He is one of the reason why I'm in love with black and white photography.

What's so striking about black and white photography is how it really helps a sense of reality to come through.“ – Peter Lindbergh

One of my New Year resolutions is to visit more museums and art events... (the full list is coming soon!) they are just so cool!!! :)

I love that photo of Kate Moss. I think it's from the layout where she's channeling old school Brigitte Bardot, no?

Stunning photos! And I agree, black and white photos are great. I love taking black and white engagement photos because the lack of color brings out the raw emotions in the couple more, I think.

Hello

There is a classic mistake concerning the image named “peter-lindbergh-1.jpg″ (The first one actually)
This is a picture from Herb Ritts :

For the rest thank you for this article !

Thank you for your comment on my post. I love that dress but I hardly wear it because my mum made a face when I bought it!

I am just starting my blog and am feeling quite shy and nervous about it all it's nice to know someone has read it and comments mean a lot!

I have always loved the pic of the supermodels (weren't the 90's girls the best?)....glad I know who took it now!

Paul said...

@Jenny I hope you've read previous comments...

Naked supermodels are from Herb Ritts, not Peter Lindbergh

I also hope that the author of this blog will eventually read this and change the picture with another one so we can stop associate this image with Peter Lindbergh anymore.

Thanks in advance for your help

Paul
