Valentines Dinner

As you might recall one of my new year resolutions was to become a kitchen goddess! :D While I'm really really far from that, last night I decided to cook a proper meal to celebrate Vday and my move to our new flat! The dinner was nothing fancy, I actually have a rule not to spend more than 30 minutes in the kitchen preparing food and I think I managed to get this one done in time!

For starters I made heart shaped fried cheese (yeah you cant really see the shape on the pic) with a ruccola cherry tomato salad. The main dish was two types of tortelloni (filled with gorgonzola/nuts and truffle/cheese) with turkey stripes marinated in a mushroom sauce. For dessert... I don't even really want to admit... my most favorite yet most calorie rich food in the whole entire world: Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream!!!!

I know what you're thinking... not really a healthy meal (cheese, after cheese, after cheese :) but it was a once in a year meal and I'm actually signing up for the gym today! Cannot wait! It's really been a while. :)

congratulations on becoming a domestic goddess! I would have eaten this whole thing and ignored the calorie consumption... I mean it was Valentine's Day after all.

My husband made me a surpise meal and guess what the theme was?! CHEESE! Love it so much...and like you, he figured that because it's only one meal, I could eat all that cheese and not worry!
