Birthday Girl

Here is a picture from my birthday dinner from Friday. We went to one of my new favorite Barcelona places Bar Lobo, we ate good food and drank too much sangria and I blow out a candle wishing for the best! ;) It feels so good to have met so many great people in such a short amount of time in Barcelona. I love my new life and I love my new friends! ;)

Here is a quick snap of the presents I've received:

A beautiful silk top from Caitlin, OPI Nail Polish, BonBons & Flowers! ;) But by far the best present was that they all came to celebrate with me! ;) I wish you were there...

Cro-Cro-Cro-Croatia

This week has been flying by with record speed and I didn't even have a chance to show you the pictures I took in Croatia over the weekend. Overall we were quite unlucky with the weather, out of the 3 days we only had sunshine on one (obviously we took full advantage of that day) and we tried to make the best of the rest by playing silly card games, doing small excursions, sleeping, eating and consuming a lot of booze! :)

P.S: I saw 2 falling stars!!!
P.P.S: Isn't it just heartbreaking that summer is almost over? :(

Gypsy*Friday - Pula*Croatia

All these talks about boots and tights and leather jackets made me realize it's still full on summer out there and it's time to enjoy it while we can! I'm going on a mini vacation this weekend with two car full of friends to Pula, Croatia! We'll be playing volleyball on the beach, sunbathing, snorkeling and I would think there will be some partytime as well! :D How about you babes? I hope you're enjoying the dog days of summer!!!
Have a fantastic weekend!

P.S: If you wanna take a break from the sun, check out the delicious new blogs on my blogroll!!! Kisses!!!

Klassz = Cool

Honestly, there are few things in life I enjoy more than catching up with old friends (and discovering new little restaurants together :). 6 years since our last date but it felt like yesterday! Friends will be friends right? :) I enjoy living back in Hungary more and more each day... will the Gypsy settle down? Maybe for a while... ;)

I decided to write more about the places I visit as I receive more and more requests for Budapest recommendations (a full blown Budapest guide is coming soon... :) This restaurant is a little gem on the Andrassy Avenue (the most luxurious street of Bp with Louis Vuitton, Dior... etc) called Klassz (which means cool in Hungarian :). It has an exquisite menu and a beautiful wine bar full of local wines. I also had the best soup ever here: an Aubergine-Paprika soup which they pour on a fluffy goat cheese cream... heavenly....

... and after the soup... :) I forgot what it was called but some kind of a strawberry cake with lemon mint cream... yum yum, total food porn!

Just Another Manic Monday?

Do you know a better way to start a great week than meeting girlfriends for lunch in the great outdoors, gossiping, sipping iced lemonades and eating fried cheese salads? I seriously DON'T! :)

My Happy Weekend

Some weekends are dull, some are sleepy but this one was full of action and I couldn't be more happy about that. I've been camping in my home town for a while now (at my moms place), spending most of my time in PJs in front of the computer, but this weekend I decided to visit some friends and do a big-spring-shopping-spree in Budapest.

{Suede brown leather jacket - Promod, Brown leather bag - Barneys New York, Brown boots - Buttero, Jeans - Zara TRF, Shirt - Pimkie, Watch - DKNY}

You know when I go shopping often, I can resist to buy, but when I don't go for a while and everything is new, I just go completely crazy.... :) 8 hours non stop shopping seems to be my physical limit by the way.... and I still have bruises on my shoulder from carrying the heavy bags.... anyhow, there is nothing better after an exhausting day of spending than meeting up with old friends in a nice little restaurant (Vapiano in this case) and drinking a glass of wine (... or two).

While in the city, I found out that some of my high school classmates (most of whom I haven't met since we were 18) are organising a spring welcoming party in a nearby village. I almost didn't go but in the end we had a blast. We were cooking outside, playing games (we, girls hid some chocolate eggs and the boys had to find them :), telling stories and catching up. I love spring!

And last but not least, I spent Sunday with my mum at the local travel fair. I'll be booking two holidays this week. Let me keep the destinations secret a little bit longer, but both places are in Africa... :) yuppieee

I wish all weekends were so much fun...
