Weighing Issues

Typical Breakfast - Fruit Cocktail

I don't even want to count how many times I've mentioned that dreaded health bandwagon on this blog, but the truth is it's time for me to jump back on it again. I'm one of those girls who gains a kilo by eating a plate of pasta and hence I haven't really been happily doing that without any second thoughts or regrets probably since I was 14, which is almost 50% of my life. Lately all the traveling and eating out has taken its toll on me.... I just haven't been feeling so great about myself and the way I look. I know I know you gonna say I look great and I have nothing to worry about but last week while I was home I found an old photoalbum from my late teens, when I was 10kg (about 22 lbs) less than now.... God, who was that girl??? I almost haven't recognised myself, I looked so pretty (if I can say so myself :)) and happy! (That pictures is on my fridge door now for motivation ;)

My favorite salad made of cucumber, cocktail tomatoes, corn, raddish, feta cheese and chicken breast

One of my goals on the 11 for 11 list was to get healthy and back into a weight I feel comfortable in, hence I've decided that now, less than 4 months before the end of the year it's time to get started on that new year resolution! 10kgs Bye Bye! I'm trying to go about it the healthy way this time (no crazy detox) which means lots of fruits, veggies and protein and minimal carbs. My daily menu consists of a giga mega fruit shake for breakfast with as much fruits as I can fit in my mixer, a healthy lunch of greek salad with chicken or spinach with eggs, lots of sunflower seeds (can't live without) for evening snack and post workout protein shakes. I've also amped up my fitness routine which basically has been non existent in the past few weeks... Gym 4-5 times a week, mostly for spinning, kick box and weight classes. Let's get this ball running! We still have time before the new year rings in! ;)

Postcards from Budapest

I´ve lived in several countries and travelled all over the world, but Budapest will always have a special place in my heart. It´s definitely the city I´m looking forward to visit over and over again and not only because of my friends and family, but mostly because of the unique charm and effect the city has on me. Budapest I love you! (if you´ve missed my Budapest travel guide you can check it out here)

Major Score

I had absolutely no intention of spending any money while I was in Hungary working on some fabulous shoots and visiting my family, but when my mom asked me to run some errands with her I politely obliged. She wanted to check out a second hand store where they had an all for ONE EURO sign out and probably because I didn´t expect it... I found the most amazing fall pieces! The good thing about second hand shopping in a small Hungarian town is that ocassionally some major designer pieces pop up, but as noone knows the designer a 350 euro Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress can easily find it´s way to the one euro rack! Yep! No kidding! I´ve also checked out their more "expensive" section where (for 13euros each) I scored a Max Mara wool/angora jacket (retail price around 350 euros) a Massimo Dutti fall jacket (retail price around 130 euros) and a beautiful Morgan jumper (retail price around 100 euros). And that´s my friends what I call a major score! ;) My mom always told me that anyone can buy expensive things (if they have the money of course) but buying expensive things real cheap is the real art of shopping! Couldn't agree more! ;D

August Photography Roundup

August has been my first full month blogging over at En Route and while it's challenging to keep two blogs up and running while setting up a business, I truly enjoy having a dedicated outlet for my photography. Here are a few highlight from my favorite  posts this month:

For the first time ever, my work has been featured in a major international blog, On to Baby. They published a selection of my maternity shots taken in Athens and Spetses (see all pics here and here). This made me so happy! ;)

I've published the first part of my pictures from my mega 3-day family session in Dublin. I adore these guys and they look sooo good on camera!

I wrote an elaborate review of Radlab, my new favorite post processing tool. (full post here)

I've photographed POSH!The Prince, musician and diva extraordinaire! ;) (she used to work with Lady Gaga)

I shared my tips for preparing for a photoshoot with inspiration boards here.

I've photographed two year old Mici and her adorable family in Berlin.

September will be a very exciting month with upcoming shoots in Berlin, Budapest and Vienna! The travelling circus is rolling on! ;)

If you want to keep up with my photography adventures you can follow En Route on Bloglovin / on Twitter / or like it on Facebook!

Dublin I Heart You

I spent the last few days in Dublin photographing this little munchkin and his proud mommy and daddy. It was my third time in Ireland, but surely the time when I have fallen in love with the country! The weather is always around a comfortable 20C, the sky is almost always covered by fluffy clouds which provide the perfect lighting for taking pictures and everything is so green and lush! I never knew how cool Dublin really was! It´s like London but smaller and much more liveable from what I´ve seen! Have I mentioned how much I love my job and contantly discovering new countries in Europe? ;)
